The Indonesian Express
Rimba Raya, traditionally recognized for its tourist and shuttle bus services, has now expanded its offerings by introducing a new division focused on intercity bus services (AKAP). This new AKAP service features buses recently launched from the Laksana bodywork facility. These buses are distinguished by their premium quality, utilizing the rare Scania K250IB chassis. The Scania K250IB chassis was first unveiled at the Giicomvec 2020 exhibition, showcased with a Transjakarta bus body, and remains uncommon among operators in Indonesia. This bus chassis measures 12 meters in length and is touted for its fuel efficiency. It is powered by a 9,000 cc diesel engine that delivers 250 horsepower. Additionally, the chassis is equipped with air suspension and safety features such as the Electronic Braking System (EBS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Retarder Brake, and Hill Hold. The bus is designed with the Legacy SR3 Neo HD Panorama Prestige Ultimate-R body, presenting a modern aesthetic with a single glass front windshield. Its elegant appearance is enhanced by a white base color combined with a turquoise green accent. Inside, the cabin features jumbo leg rest passenger seats arranged in a 2-1 configuration, and the rear area is equipped with a toilet. This bus will serve the AKAP route between Jakarta and Jepara, or vice versa.
