Is It True That Crying At Night Can Aid In Weight Loss?

If you are considering a weight loss plan but are not yet prepared to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen, you might explore the option of crying. Research indicates that crying between the hours of 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM can contribute to weight loss. 

The study reveals that crying during specific times has been shown to effectively aid in weight reduction. A report published by AsiaOne highlights that crying during the aforementioned hours can indeed assist in losing weight. Crying is a natural human response to express emotions, including sadness, loss, frustration, and even joy. It is not a taboo action; both men and women may cry more frequently than is commonly assumed. As is well known, crying is also a physical response stemming from emotional turmoil. 

The influence of cortisol hormones is significant in this context. The research suggests that individuals can shed pounds through crying and emotional release. When a person cries, the body releases cortisol, which can facilitate fat loss. There is a scientific basis for the notion that crying can reduce body fat levels. 

During the act of crying, the release of cortisol in the body increases, leading to fat loss. Additionally, tears produced during stress have been shown to help eliminate toxins from the body, thereby playing a role in weight reduction. This research finding is further supported by renowned biochemist William Frey. However, it is important to note that the weight loss effects of crying are most pronounced when the tears are a result of genuine emotions, rather than forced crying. Thus, crying due to a sad movie or a real emotional event may be more effective than merely pretending to cry. 

While there are unexpected benefits to crying, excessive crying is not advisable. If one finds themselves crying frequently, accompanied by a loss of appetite and weight, it may indicate symptoms of depression. In such cases, it is advisable to seek consultation with a mental health professional.
