In light of the growing trend towards healthy living, K Fitness is planning to expand its business presence to major cities beyond Jakarta. Having opened its first branch in Cideng, Central Jakarta, on August 27, 2022, K Fitness recognizes significant potential outside the capital as societal attitudes increasingly prioritize health. David Kosmo, the founder of K Fitness, believes that the market outside Jakarta remains highly accessible, with promising return on investment anticipated within two years. "The competition outside Jakarta is not as intense as in the capital. Many large cities on Java still lack quality gym facilities at affordable prices," David stated in an official announcement on Thursday, February 13. This year, K Fitness aims to establish 10 new branches, with Semarang, Solo, and Yogyakarta identified as primary targets. These cities are experiencing continuous growth, and the demand for fitness facilities is on the rise. "We want to ensure that each new branch aligns with the preferences and purchasing power of the local community. Therefore, we will offer more tailored training programs, such as affordable and flexible group fitness classes," David added. In Jakarta, K Fitness plans to open at least one branch each in West Jakarta, North Jakarta, South Jakarta, and Central Jakarta. This strategy will enable K Fitness to reach a broader customer base throughout the capital and provide easier access for the community to maintain their fitness. Meanwhile, business analyst and managing partner at Inventure, Yuswo Hady, views K Fitness's expansion strategy as aligned with consumer preferences outside Jakarta, where individuals tend to be more pragmatic in their gym choices. "In Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, people are more inclined to consider competitive membership costs over luxurious facilities. They seek programs that deliver tangible results with reasonable investments," he explained.
