Apple has announced that it will host an "Apple Event" on February 19th of next week. This information was shared by Apple CEO Tim Cook through his official social media account on X (formerly Twitter) with the handle @tim_cook. "Get ready to meet the newest member of the Apple ecosystem on Wednesday, February 19, 2025," stated Tim, accompanied by the hashtag #AppleLaunch. Initially, rumors circulated online suggesting that the Apple Event would take place on February 14, 2025. Tim Cook's announcement has dispelled those rumors. Tim Cook did not disclose any specific products or devices that will be launched during the event. In his tweet, he only shared a single animated image (GIF) featuring a metallic silver Apple logo that changes color. This color variation may be related to the colors of the devices set to be unveiled at the Apple Event on February 19. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, known for his accurate gadget leaks, this event is expected to serve as the launch platform for the "affordable" fourth-generation iPhone SE, also referred to as iPhone SE 4 or iPhone SE 2025. It remains unclear whether the name of the iPhone SE will follow the naming convention of the previous three generations, simply being "iPhone SE," or if Apple will append "4" or "2025" to the name. It is also uncertain whether the February 19 event will exclusively feature the iPhone SE 4 or other Apple products.
