Galaxy S25 Edge Officially Launched: Thin Phone With Latest Cooling Technology

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has successfully attracted public attention with its super-thin design. This smartphone also dispels the stigma that thin phones will get hot more easily because the cooling space is increasingly limited. 

According to MX Product Marketing Senior Manager of Samsung Electronics Indonesia Ilham Indrawan, Samsung has designed the latest vapor chamber for the Galaxy S25 Edge to keep its temperature stable, even when performing heavy tasks. 

Moreover, despite its thin appearance, this Samsung cellphone is still equipped with a flagship class chipset to deliver capable performance. 

"The Galaxy S25 Edge is the thinnest Galaxy S Series ever which is still equipped with a flagship chipset like other Galaxy S25 Series models to ensure the best performance," said Ilham in a press release received on Tuesday (6/24/2025). 

For your information, smartphones with slim bodies tend to have more limited space allocation for the cooling system. 

As a result, the potential for temperature to rise drastically due to an increase in device temperature when used for a long time is a major concern. 

Latest Cooling System 

Therefore, Samsung has designed a new cooling system that has never existed in previous Galaxy smartphone models. 

This system, called the "hole structure", allows heat from the processor to be directly channeled to the vapor chamber more effectively. 

The size of the vapor chamber in the Galaxy S25 Edge is 10 percent larger. The thermal interface materials components are precisely designed to help absorb and distribute heat from the surrounding components.
