Google has introduced the Scheduled Actions feature in its Gemini artificial intelligence service on Android and iOS operating systems as well as the web to allow users to plan recurring tasks and future tasks. According to a 9to5Google report on Friday (6/27), the Scheduled Actions feature allows users to give prompts or commands to Gemini to set activities at a specific time, day, or date or after a specific event. To set up an activity plan, users must provide details about when and how often they want to schedule the activity in the prompt. Gemini will automatically confirm and activate Scheduled Actions. All schedules that have been set by users can be viewed in two ways. When using Gemini on Android or iOS, users can select the profile menu option and then select Scheduled Actions. Users who access Gemini via the web go to the side panel and select the Settings & Help option and click the gemini.google.com/scheduled link This list allows users to pause or resume and delete scheduled schedules if accessed via Android or iOS. The web version provides a more complete editor that allows users to rename, change prompts, and schedule activities on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Currently, Gemini users can enable up to 10 Scheduled Actions. For example, for uses that include a summary of daily activities in a calendar, a to-do list, and unread emails for the next day. This feature can also be used to provide daily weather updates and outfit ideas based on a list of products that have been provided to Gemini. Gemini Scheduled Actions is available to users with Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscriptions and eligible Google Workspace business and education service users.
