Tuesday, 26 Nov 2024

PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk (Tempo Scan) has donated humanitarian aid amounting to IDR 10 billion for infants and children in Palestine. This assistance was presented to the National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) during a handover event held at Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta on Friday, November 22. It is noteworthy that the IDR 10 billion was raised through the sales of Tempo Scan products since August 2024. This aid is part of the "Kembalikan Senyum Bayi dan Anak Palestina" program, initiated through Tempo Scan's corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, "Tempo Scan 100 Persen Indonesia." Handojo S. Muljadi, the Executive Chairman and Founder of Tempo Scan, stated that this humanitarian effort is driven by their sympathy and concern for the suffering of infants and children in Palestine, who are living in conflict zones. According to the company's data, approximately 70 percent of conflict victims in Palestine are women and children, with 44 percent of this group being infants and young children.

"Through the Tempo Scan 100 Persen Indonesia CSR program, we hope that other companies will follow suit in providing benefits to the community as a tangible expression of social responsibility," Handojo remarked during his speech. He further emphasized that the "Kembalikan Senyum Bayi dan Anak Palestina" program embodies Tempo Scan's core values related to humanity.

In these values, Tempo Scan firmly believes that every child has the right and opportunity to receive love, protection, proper nutrition, and adequate education, regardless of their race or religion. These rights also extend to the infants born and children raised in Palestine. "They too have the right to receive all of these," Handojo stated.
