The Secretary General of Indonesia, Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha, along with Swedish Ambassador Daniel Blockert, officially opened the Sweden-Indonesia Sustainability Partnership (SISP) Healthcare Conference 2024 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Jakarta on Monday, December 2. The conference aims to strengthen partnerships in developing sustainable healthcare systems through collaboration among governments, the private sector, and academics from both countries. In his speech, Secretary General Kunta highlighted the achievements of the SISP 2024 program, which includes digital health services, cancer care, emergency response, maternal and child health, and diabetes management. This program has led to strategic initiatives, such as the development of an MR Linac-based radiotherapy center and a doctoral scholarship program between Airlangga University and Karolinska Institute. Secretary General Kunta also emphasized that this cooperation aligns with President Prabowo's vision, particularly the fourth mission focused on enhancing human resources in healthcare. "This collaboration is not just about today's programs, but also an investment in the future of Indonesia's health towards a Golden Indonesia by 2045," said Secretary General Kunta. Ambassador Blockert, representing the Swedish Government, reaffirmed Sweden's commitment to supporting health transformation in Indonesia through technology transfer, healthcare training, and other innovative initiatives. This conference serves as an important moment to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and ensure the sustainability of the SISP program in the future.
