Panasonic-GOBEL Took Part In The Japan-Indonesia Urban & Building Housing 2025 Seminar

The Ministry of Public Housing and Settlement (PKP) held an international seminar titled Sustainable Housing, Building and Cities in Indonesia. This event was a collaboration between the Indonesian government and several organizations, including The Building Center of Japan (BCJ), the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), the Organisation of Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD), and the Japan Urban Development, Building, and Housing Association (JUBH). The seminar aimed to find sustainable solutions to the challenges of urbanization and housing in Indonesia, with support from the Japanese Embassy in Indonesia, JICA Indonesia, JETRO Jakarta, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), and the Jakarta Japan Club.

Attendees included Fahri Hamzah, the Deputy Minister of PKP, Masaki Yasushi F, the Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia, and prominent international speakers such as Hiroto Izumi, Honorary Advisor of JUBH, Yoshiki Takeuchi, Deputy Secretary-General of OECD, Tetsuya Watanabe, President of ERIA, and Masao Omori, Mayor of Okayama and OECD Champion Mayor.

The seminar focused on exploring strategies and technologies to create more environmentally friendly and sustainable housing and cities. Topics discussed included energy solutions, waste management, efficient urbanization, and the importance of international collaboration in supporting national development agendas. This event provided a platform for stakeholders to share insights, experiences, and innovations for a greener and more prosperous future.

As part of their commitment to sustainable development, Rachmat Gobel, a member of the Indonesian Parliament and Chairman & Shareholder of Panasonic Gobel Group, attended the event to support the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045.

SAVASA integrates the latest technology, such as the Complete Air Management System (CAMS), which provides high-quality indoor air through integrated operation. With four core concepts – Smart Township, Smart Security, Smart Home, and Smart Community – SAVASA offers a green environment, modern living, and earthquake-resistant features that promote a sustainable lifestyle. Other projects by Panasonic-GOBEL, like the lighting at national landmarks such as Gelora Bung Karno Stadium and Prambanan Temple, demonstrate the company's commitment to supporting sustainable development as a key to achieving Indonesia Emas 2045, in line with the campaign “Create Today. Enrich Tomorrow.”

In his speech, Rachmat Gobel emphasized the importance of the housing sector in realizing the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045. “A home is not just a place to live; it is also a symbol of status, comfort, and stability. A home is the foundation for building a Golden Family, which is the main pillar towards Indonesia Emas,” he stated. As the Chairman and Shareholder of Panasonic Gobel Group, Rachmat Gobel reaffirmed the company's support for government programs aimed at improving housing quality and sustainable urbanization.
