Prabowo Summons Bahlil To Hambalang Amid Raja Ampat Damage Issues

President Prabowo Subianto summoned a number of ministers to his residence, Bojongkoneng Village, Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, Monday, June 9, 2025. Prabowo summoned the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, the Minister of Environment (LH) Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, and the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni. 

Based on Tempo's monitoring around Prabowo's residence, a white Toyota Alphard car with the license plate RI 28 belonging to the Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq arrived first at 15:00 WIB. Hanif's car was seen being escorted by a traffic police motorbike. 

About 18 minutes later, a white Toyota Innova Zenix car with the license plate B 2690 ZZH belonging to Raja Juli entered Prabowo's house. 

Behind him, a Lexus with the license plate B 1800 ZH was seen entering Prabowo's house. The car is a vehicle that Bahlil often uses. 

Tempo's previous source said the meeting would discuss nickel mining in Raja Ampat. This source said Prabowo would stop nickel mining in Raja Ampat. 

"Prabowo wants to stop nickel mining," this source told Tempo on Monday, June 9, 2025. 

Presidential Secretariat Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media Yusuf Permana said he would first check whether or not there was a limited meeting in Hambalang. "I'll try to check. I'm in Mecca," said Yusuf via WhatsApp message on Monday, June 8, 2025. 

Meanwhile, Head of the Bureau of Communication, Public Information Services, and Cooperation (Biro KLIK) Sunindyo Suryo Herdadi admitted that he did not know about the limited meeting. "I don't know that information yet," he said on Monday, June 8, 2025. 

Even so, Prabowo, who will hold a limited meeting, was confirmed by the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) Togar M. Simatupang. Because, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Brian Yuliarto is scheduled to attend a meeting with Prabowo in Hambalang. "Sir will attend the Limited Meeting," he said when contacted, Monday, June 9, 2025. 

However, Togar emphasized that the meeting between Brian and Prabowo was different from the meeting attended by Minister Bahlil, Raja Juli, and Hanif. The meetings were held separately. 

"The Limited Meeting attended by different ministers. It's not about mining," he said. 

Tempo has tried to confirm this with Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, Head of the Presidential Communications Office Hasan Nasbi, Cabinet Secretary Mayor Teddy Indra Wijaya. However, the three have not responded to messages sent by Tempo. 

Tempo also asked for confirmation from Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, and Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni. However, both have not responded to Tempo's WhatsApp messages. Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources spokesperson Dwi Anggia also did not respond to this matter.
