President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, praised the Sanur Health Special Economic Zone (KEK) as a groundbreaking initiative, noting that it is the first special economic zone focused on health. Consequently, the President expressed gratitude and appreciation for the hard work of all parties involved, particularly former President Joko Widodo, who initiated the establishment of the Sanur Health KEK in Denpasar, Bali. "I believe (KEK Sanur) is a groundbreaking achievement in our republic; we are launching or creating a special economic zone for world-class, international health services," stated President Prabowo during his speech at the inauguration of the Sanur Health KEK and Bali International Hospital (BIH) in Denpasar, Sanur, on Wednesday afternoon. The President also thanked and appreciated the support of foreign investors who contributed to the realization of the Sanur Health KEK in Bali. In the same speech, President Prabowo emphasized that the Sanur Health KEK represents a significant breakthrough in addressing the lag, particularly in the health sector. According to the President, the existence of the Sanur Health KEK should be emulated by other sectors. "Indonesia is a nation that aims to develop rapidly. We must catch up with other nations. We cannot rely on outdated methods, inefficient practices, or wasteful management," the President remarked. Prabowo then stated, "Leave that behind! There is no place for it. The people of Indonesia do not want a system like that. The people demand an efficient government, quality services, and accountability for every cent of public funds, which must not be misused." "Today," the President said, "this KEK is an example, one of the breakthroughs towards closing the gap, and it should be emulated by many other sectors." President Prabowo also asserted that as a developing country with a vision to become a developed nation, Indonesia must have the best health facilities that can be proud of and meet international standards.
