Perhutani Partnership snagged an award at the LIKE 2 Festival 2024, which took place over four days from August 8 to 11 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). This annual event, centered on environmental issues, climate change, forestry, and renewable energy, highlights the government's commitment to sustainable development. Key figures at the event included Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and the President Director of Perum Perhutani Wahyu Kuncoro along with his team. The highlight of the event was the presentation of Social Forestry Decrees, Land Object of Agrarian Reform (TORA), People's Palm Oil, and environmental fund service certificates to 15 community representatives by President Joko Widodo. A total of 200 individuals from five Forest Management Units (KPH) received symbolic Partnership Cooperation Agreements (PKS) from Perhutani, covering both the Perhutani Forestry Partnership (KKP) and Productive Perhutani Forestry Partnership (KKPP) schemes. The festival, themed "10 Years of Work for Sustainability," focused on three main areas: Climate-Friendly Technology, Public Participation, and Access to Environmental Funds. In her speech, Minister Siti Nurbaya noted that over the past decade, the government has been responsive, adaptive, and progressive in its environmental efforts, improving governance in environmental and forestry management. "In the last ten years, during the two terms of the 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 administrations under the leadership of President Jokowi, the government's work in the environmental sector has been carried out responsively, adaptively, and progressively, with efforts to enhance environmental and forestry governance," she stated during the KLHK Award Night at the LIKE 2 Festival on Saturday (August 10).

Wahyu Kuncoro, the CEO of Perum Perhutani, was also at the event and expressed his support for the government. He believes that the Social Forestry program can really empower communities to manage forests alongside the state. During this event, three partnerships with Perhutani received awards directly from the Minister of Environment and Forestry at the LIKE 2 Festival. "We're also working on building partnerships with local forest communities through our Productive Forestry Partnership program, which is a concrete step in backing government initiatives. This time, our partnerships were recognized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry," Wahyu explained. Besides the award ceremony, the LIKE 2 Festival featured a bunch of fun activities, including an eco-friendly tech exhibition, music concerts, inspiring talk shows, a fun walk, and a night to honor those making strides in the environmental field.
