PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (CIMB Niaga) is gearing up for its Kejar Mimpi Goes To School event, which will take place simultaneously in 35 schools across various cities in Indonesia on Saturday, October 26, 2024. This initiative, supported by volunteers from the Kejar Mimpi Community, reflects CIMB Niaga's commitment to enhancing education and the well-being of the youth in Indonesia. With the theme "Healthy Growing Generation," the program will feature a variety of activities aimed at educating students, teachers, and parents about financial literacy. It will also highlight the importance of balanced nutrition for students' growth and development. This aligns with CIMB Niaga's CSR focus on education and the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically the goal of eliminating all forms of malnutrition by 2030. Fransiska Oei, the Director of Compliance, Corporate Affairs & Legal at CIMB Niaga, emphasized the bank's strong commitment to ensuring healthy development for the younger generation, particularly addressing issues like stunting, which can negatively affect cognitive development and long-term performance due to suboptimal brain growth. CIMB Niaga's support for stunting prevention is demonstrated through a strategic partnership with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). This program, running until 2026, is focused on East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), the province with the highest stunting prevalence in Indonesia. “Beyond NTT, CIMB Niaga is also dedicated to raising awareness about malnutrition and stunting in other provinces. That's why, during this Youth Pledge Month, we, along with Kejar Mimpi Community volunteers, are visiting 35 schools to help combat stunting and provide greater benefits to the community,” Fransiska shared at the Kejar Mimpi Goes To School press conference in Jakarta on Monday, October 21, 2024. This program includes Fun Storytelling to help students understand Healthy Growth Generation and stunting prevention, Fun Financial Literacy, a coloring activity called “My Plate,” writing hopes on the Dream Tree, donating school facilities, the Million Books Program, and motivational murals for Pursuing Dreams. There will also be cooking demos and classes on the Role of Parents in Preventing Stunting with nutrition experts. At the same time, the Head of Marketing, Brand & Customer Experience at CIMB Niaga, Muhamad Firdaus Andjar, mentioned that this volunteering activity has become a regular part of CIMB Niaga's program with the Kejar Mimpi Community. “Through this initiative, CIMB Niaga provides a platform for young people to become more aware of social issues around them and engage in problem-solving efforts. This is definitely a chance to sharpen leadership skills and gain volunteering experience, helping to create a capable generation that benefits society,” said Firdaus.
