President Prabowo launched the National Solidarity Movement (GSN) at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (November 2, 2024). He was accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming. The GSN declaration was also attended by several ministers and party officials. Thousands of GSN members pledged their support in front of President Prabowo Subianto. They committed to backing the government in carrying out development in a critical, objective, constructive, and productive manner to provide solutions. Initially, the GSN idea came from a proposal to turn the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) into a community group. This suggestion was made by Prabowo Subianto during a breaking of fast event with the TKN on March 25, 2024. The GSN community will include people from all races, religions, regions, and backgrounds, ensuring that the connections made continue even after the elections. At that time, Prabowo also announced that Rosan Roeslani, the head of the Prabowo-Gibran TKN, would lead the National Solidarity Movement. The vision of GSN is to unite all Indonesian people, achieving this by gathering and turning significant ideas into concrete solutions for the community and the nation's progress. The main mission of GSN is to create similar resolutions that can be implemented by the government, with government support or through GSN's own resources. Regarding the name National Solidarity Movement, Rosan explained that National Solidarity is not just two words but a single phrase. National Solidarity is not merely about reconciliation after elections; it is about working together for the benefit of Indonesia.
