Krom Bank Indonesia Tbk (BBSI), a subsidiary of Kredivo Group, continues to strengthen its digital banking services by launching the QR Code or Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) payment feature on the Krom app. This strategic step is in line with the rapidly growing digital transaction trend in Indonesia. With QRIS, Krom Bank customers can carry out transactions quickly, safely, and conveniently directly through their mobile phones at more than 30 million merchants spread across Indonesia. Anton Hermawan, President Director of PT Krom Bank Indonesia Tbk, said, "For Krom, providing flexible financial services to customers is a top priority. This step is in line with that commitment, as well as our response to the increasingly popular trend of using QRIS payment methods among the public. To transact, customers only need to scan the QR code using the Krom app, without the hassle of carrying cash or making transfers. In addition, with free interbank transfers and e-wallet top-ups, QRIS provides our customers with more transaction options." According to data from Bank Indonesia, QRIS transactions in April 2024 experienced a significant annual increase of 175.44%, with the number of QRIS users continuing to rise to 48.12 million users. Krom Bank sees this trend as an opportunity to continue innovating and introducing features that meet the needs of customers in the digital era. "QRIS is one of many steps we will take to meet the financial needs of the public. Krom Bank is committed to continuously innovating to provide safe, competitive, and flexible banking solutions, so that each of our customers can achieve financial independence more easily," Anton concluded.
