Ade Armando Has Been Appointed As A Commissioner Of PLN Nusantara Power

Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) politician Ade Armando has been appointed as a commissioner of PLN Nusantara Power (NP) during the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS).

"Indeed. The handover of duties took place last Thursday," Ade Armando stated to reporters when contacted from Jakarta on Friday.

The news of Ade Armando's appointment as a commissioner of PLN Nusantara Power has been widely discussed since screenshots of the RUPS document circulated on social media.

Ade Armando has gained prominence as a social media activist who vocally expresses support for Indonesia's seventh president, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

He attracted attention when he was assaulted during a demonstration opposing the proposal to extend the presidential term to three periods in 2022, before ultimately joining PSI in 2023.

Ade Armando also faced controversy when he criticized students, particularly the Student Executive Bodies (BEM) of the University of Indonesia (UI) and Gadjah Mada University (UGM), who organized protests regarding dynastic politics.

Ade Armando remarked that BEM UI and BEM UGM are ironic because, in reality, the Special Region of Yogyakarta practices dynastic politics. This statement was made by Ade Armando through his X account, @adearmando61.
