Telkom Packfest 2025: 636 SMEs Upgraded With More Marketable Packaging

Wednesday, 16 Jul 2025

Jakarta, July 15, 2025 – PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) is once again demonstrating its commitment to empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across Indonesia through the Packfest 2025 program. This initiative aims to enhance the competitiveness of SME products by providing professional packaging and education on the inclusion of Nutritional Information (NI). Through this initiative, Telkom offers concrete solutions to the challenges that many SMEs face regarding packaging and food labeling compliance.

Packfest 2025 is a collaborative initiative between Telkom and Rumah BUMN to provide support and subsidies of up to 50% for packaging costs to SMEs. It’s not just about the exterior appearance; Packfest also equips SME operators with technical knowledge about Nutritional Information (NI) labeling. This aligns with BPOM regulations, especially for food and beverage businesses.

By mid-2025, 636 SMEs have participated, involving a total of 90 mentoring points (Witel, Telkom Regions, and Rumah BUMN), with a total of 516,500 packages printed. This program addresses various challenges often faced by business operators, such as limited design understanding, budget constraints, and difficulty accessing packaging vendors. Through Packfest, SMEs can now order high-quality packaging materials like paper metalized and aluminum foil at affordable prices with no shipping costs.

SME operator Asakawa from Rumah BUMN Koba, Bu Nurhayati, stated, “At first, I thought good packaging would be expensive and complicated. But since joining Packfest, we learned how to choose materials, design, and include nutritional labels according to regulations. Now my product packaging is much better, looks practical, and remains professional.”

In addition to producing modern and high-value packaging, Packfest 2025 also assists business operators in meeting the requirements for including Nutritional Information in accordance with BPOM Regulation No. 26 of 2021.

Now, MSMEs can perform self-assessments through the official BPOM website without needing laboratory tests, as long as the products are included in the list of 163 types of food that have been established.

Senior General Manager of Social Responsibility at Telkom, Hery Susanto, stated, "Packfest is not just about printing packaging. It is an effort to strengthen the foundation of MSMEs comprehensively, from product appearance, regulatory compliance, to creating a modern and trustworthy business image. This initiative also aligns with the achievement of SDGs point 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and point 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production)."

With the arrival of Packfest 2025, Telkom not only supports the visual aspects of MSME products but also encourages compliance with credible food information standards. This initiative is a concrete step in enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs in an increasingly competitive market. With suitable, standardized, and attractive packaging, local products are now better prepared to compete in both national and digital showcases. For Telkom, promoting MSME growth requires more than just good intentions; it also demands real actions so that every product can #ElevatingYourFuture.
