The Batang Integrated Industrial Area (KITB) is a National Strategic Project located in Central Java, solidifying its role as a key industrial growth hub in Indonesia. It's becoming a go-to investment spot for global investors looking to relocate or expand their operations in the country. With modern, eco-friendly infrastructure and utilities, KITB also boasts top-notch connectivity that streamlines logistics for exports worldwide. The government fully supports KITB through Presidential Regulation 106/2022, which aims to accelerate investment by developing this industrial area. As part of this initiative, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing has been building supporting infrastructure and has transferred assets worth IDR 3.3 trillion to PT Danareksa (Persero) as non-cash state capital contributions. These assets include access roads, worker housing, water supply facilities, main drainage systems, clean water management installations, integrated wastewater treatment systems, and waste disposal sites. Yadi Jaya Ruchandi, the CEO of PT Danareksa (Persero), stated, "The mandate from the government reflects their trust in Danareksa's role as the sole holding company for transformation and investment in Indonesia, overseeing the industrial cluster. We are committed to enhancing capacity and optimizing the potential at KITB to boost economic growth through foreign investment and state revenue, while also benefiting the local community by creating jobs and supporting the growth of small and medium enterprises." The CEO of PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang, Ngurah Wirawan, mentioned that "KITB is dedicated to providing the best facilities for its tenants and supporting the growth of the industry in Indonesia. KITB offers comprehensive basic utilities focused on sustainability, including technology-based industries (like SEG Solar), renewable energy use, and the management of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Waste-Water Treatment Plants (WWTP), and Sewage Treatment Plants (SWTP). It also features integrated, eco-friendly infrastructure, Greenship Neighborhood certified housing, and a sustainable, competitive business model that empowers local workers." As an internationally-standardized industrial area, KITB is equipped with infrastructure and basic utilities designed to support efficient and sustainable industrial operations, promoting green, sustainable, and circular economy concepts. Some highlights of KITB's infrastructure include: Industrial Roads The industrial roads within KITB stretch approximately 50 kilometers and connect directly to the Trans Java Toll Road via the KITB Toll Gate and the North Coast National Road, making it easy for tenants to access KITB and enhancing logistics efficiency for both construction and production. In the future, KITB plans to connect these roads to port access in collaboration with PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), boosting connectivity between regions. Worker Housing The Greenship Neighborhood certified housing facility has been completed by the government, consisting of 10 towers that can accommodate around 2,000 workers. This housing is equipped with adequate basic facilities and will be integrated with internal transportation within the area.
