PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) for a rooftop solar power project. This collaboration is a great step towards expanding renewable energy and plays a significant role in environmental preservation and sustainable development. The signing took place in person at ADM's headquarters in Jakarta, with representatives from both EPN and ADM present.

Achmad Rizal Roesindrawan, EPN's Business Development Director, emphasized that this partnership reflects the company's commitment to supporting the transition to clean energy in Indonesia. "This collaboration is not just a technological advancement; it's a legacy for future generations. Working with ADM shows our dedication to continuously innovate in providing sustainable renewable energy solutions. We believe this partnership will bring significant benefits to both parties and the wider community," he stated.

The rooftop solar project highlights the strong trust ADM has in EPN. The installation will occur in three phases, starting with a capacity of 63 kWp in the first phase, followed by 1.2 MWp in the second phase, and concluding with 3.2 MWp in the third phase.

Overall, the rooftop solar expansion project by EPN and ADM will have a total capacity of 8.1 MWp. It's expected to generate around 10 GWh of electricity annually and reduce carbon emissions by approximately 8,500 tons of CO2 each year, which is equivalent to planting 300,000 trees.

The project will take place at several ADM facilities in Karawang, including Karawang Assembling Plant 2 with a capacity of 3,019 MWp, the expanded Karawang Assembling Plant 1 with a capacity of 2,988 MWp, the expanded Karawang Engine Plant with a capacity of 1,765 MWp, and the expanded Karawang Casting Plant with a capacity of 0.5 MWp. All these installations are expected to be completed between December 2024 and February 2025.

"We're really excited about this collaboration. The implementation of solar panels at ADM's facilities is a tangible step towards utilizing clean and sustainable energy. It's part of our commitment to environmental preservation and supporting the company's goals for carbon neutrality," said ADM's President Director, Yasushi Kyoda.

This partnership aims to boost synergy and positive collaboration across industries, especially in the automotive sector. Additionally, it seeks to create a better future for Indonesia by enhancing the supply of New Renewable Energy (EBT).
