PT Nusantara Sejahtera Raya Tbk (Cinema XXI, stock code: CNMA) has been experiencing steady growth, thanks to strong business fundamentals up to the third quarter of 2024. During this period, Cinema XXI reported revenues of IDR 4.3 trillion, marking a 12.1% increase compared to the same period last year. The net profit after tax reached IDR 529.8 billion, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 36.6%, while EBITDA rose by 17.9% year-on-year to IDR 1.3 trillion. Suryo Suherman, the CEO of Cinema XXI, noted that this positive performance is a result of effective business strategies that adapt to market demands. The company is also expanding its presence across various regions in Indonesia. "As our performance strengthens, we consistently ensure that the quality of our cinema services remains top-notch, from location and facilities to food and beverage offerings, along with other innovations. The revenue for Cinema XXI up to the third quarter of 2024 is bolstered by increased ticket sales, in line with our commitment to expand the number of cinema screens as public interest in watching films in theaters grows across Indonesia," Suryo stated. By September 30, 2024, Cinema XXI welcomed 66.1 million viewers, an 11.8% increase from the same period last year. This rise in audience numbers contributed to ticket sales revenue of IDR 2.67 trillion, accounting for 63% of total revenue. Meanwhile, revenue from food and beverage sales reached IDR 1.44 trillion, contributing 34% to the overall revenue. With such solid performance, Cinema XXI plans to distribute an interim dividend to all shareholders. This interim dividend is scheduled for distribution on November 15, 2024, totaling IDR 416.7 billion or IDR 5 per share. The distribution of this interim dividend really shows the company's commitment to adding value for all shareholders, said Suryo. To keep boosting its performance and expand access to movies for everyone in Indonesia, Cinema XXI is on a mission to grow its presence across the country. By the end of September 2024, they’ve added 42 new screens in various locations, allowing people who previously couldn’t access cinemas in their areas to enjoy the best films at Cinema XXI. As of September 30, 2024, the company operates 249 cinemas with a total of 1,322 screens across 61 cities in Indonesia.
