, 03 Nov 2024

The regulated cryptocurrency exchange in Indonesia, CFX, has announced that as of October 25, 2024, a total of 30 crypto asset companies have successfully obtained the Exchange Member Approval Letter (SPAB).

"Securing the SPAB is an essential prerequisite for any cryptocurrency firm aiming to operate legally in Indonesia. It guarantees adherence to current regulations and represents a significant commitment to the crypto ecosystem, particularly in ensuring optimal protection for customers," stated CFX CEO, Subani, in a written statement on Wednesday, October 30.

In accordance with the relevant regulations, both Physical Crypto Asset Trader Candidates (CPFAK) and Non-CPFAK are required to acquire the SPAB from CFX in order to transition their status to Physical Crypto Asset Traders (PFAK). This stipulation is detailed in Regulation (Bappebti) No. 8 of 2021, which was amended by Regulation No. 13 of 2022.

"We are executing the mandate provided by Bappebti to supervise and assist crypto companies in adhering to regulations, particularly the initial phase of obtaining the SPAB, which is subsequently followed by the process at Bappebti to attain PFAK status. By the end of October 2024, 30 crypto companies have received the SPAB, with six of them having already secured full licenses as PFAK," he elaborated.

Within the CFX ecosystem, six crypto trading platforms have achieved full PFAK licenses, including PT Pintu Kemana Saja (PINTU), PT Bumi Sentosa Cemerlang (Pluang), PT Kagum Teknologi Indonesia (Ajaib Kripto), PT Aset Digital Berkat (Tokocrypto), PT Tiga Inti Utama (Triv), and PT Sentra Bitwewe Indonesia (Bitwewe). This designation signifies compliance with regulations and a sincere dedication to ensuring maximum security for users.

At present, 24 CPFAK and other Non-CPFAK entities are undergoing verification and fit and proper assessments conducted by Bappebti. This group includes companies such as PT Kripto Maksima Koin (KMK), PT Coinbit Digital Indonesia (Stockbit Crypto), PT Mitra Kripto Sukses (MAKS), PT CTXG Indonesia Berkarya (Mobee), PT Pedagang Aset Kripto (Coinvest), PT Gerbang Aset Digital (Fasset), PT Samuel Kripto Indonesia (Vonix), PT Aset Instrumen Digital (Astal), and PT Kripto Inovasi Nusantara (CoinX).

Furthermore, the list extends to PT Aset Kripto International (NVX), PT Rekeningku Dotcom Indonesia (Reku), PT Gudang Kripto Indonesia (Gudang Kripto), PT Enkripsi Teknologi Indonesia (Nobi), PT Indodax Nasional Indonesia (Indodax), PT Bursa Kripto Indonesia (Bursa Kripto), PT Tumbuh Bersama Nano (Nanovest), PT Indonesia Digital Exchange (Dex), PT Cipta Koin Digital (Naga Exchange), PT Multikripto Exchange Indonesia (KoinSayang), PT Cyrameta Exchange Indonesia (Cyra), PT Upbit Exchange Indonesia (Upbit), PT Teknologi Struktur Berantai (Bitwyre), PT Luno Indonesia Ltd (Luno), and PT Utama Aset Digital Indonesia (Bittime).
